Whatever Happened to Lazy Sundays? (Jan. 23, 2011)
Mike DeHaan
After a brisk 8Km run with the Running Room clinic, plus church, I am catching up on daily work.
Already my inbox has a reply for a bid from yet another previous client, plus feedback on a project-in-progress.
Plus, I have more than enough material to start writing "How to Begin Using Weebly", with more coming to light almost daily. I just need to decide which venue to use (Suite 101 or just Squidoo).
I did spend some time working for the one client, although I made little progress. Tomorrow is another day, even if today is gone with the wind. (Only a gentle breeze, really).

Suite 101 Articles from the Past
Dirk Willemsz by Spangineer from Martyrs Mirror
There is no sense dropping this feature before it runs its course. We continue to note articles in my Mennonite mesh.
Early Mennonites Fled from Europe to escape religious and state-sponsored persecution. This famous image shows Dirk Willemsz rescuing his pursuer from drowning in an icy river. Instead, Willemsz was arrested and executed by drowning.
How Hutterites Avoided Becoming Mennonites tells that story of a related Protestant denomination.
How the Mennonite Brethren Split from the Mennonites is a less happy chapter in the story. In late 2010 or so, some of the resentment was expressed, with reconciliation on both sides. These are all based on fairly early Mennonite history.
Two side notes about my experience in Suite 101 are interesting.
First, their statistics show that 50 of my 54 articles had at least one page-view last week. Admittedly, some had only one or two page-views, but still it demonstrates that this portfolio has some staying power. Either that, or Suite 101 keeps my articles alive somehow.
Second, the "Fallacies" article has already been read. Google had found and indexed it. Someone has already posted a several-paragraph comment, which is a lengthy but comparatively on-topic plug for another web site. I approve that comment, and added a note of my own. Tomorrow, I plan to publicize it on my bookmark and social media sites. I have already saved the title, URL, summary paragraph and several keywords in a text file to save time tomorrow.
