Applying my Writing to my Work
Mike DeHaan
My Feb. 24th resolution is to apply one of the principles about which I have written articles to my own work. "Continuous improvement" is a topic in the manufacturing processes project for one client. I need to push for more productivity in my writing processes also.
Of course I do not yet have a detailed plan for this. One idea from another Suite 101 writer is to divide "writing" into three parts: doing research, drafting the article, and editing the article. If one attempts to do all three at once, the whole process slows down.
In completely unrelated news, my laptop PC is getting its "Windows 7 Service Pack 1" upgrade via the web. Normally I would scour the news to determine whether this has problems before risking that little machine's soul, but I think I will just go with it.
The laptop PC successfully upgraded...hooray.
I continue to monitor the results of some articles in the search engines. I also see an opportunity for more social networking within Squidoo, although that platform has been absolutely unprofitable in any direct way. Hopefully the backlinks make any effort worthwhile.
As well, I might get a small website project next week, so that puts even more pressure on production on my writing projects.
