As always, I also promote my article in DeHaan Services, where "Prepare for the 2012 Quadrantid Meteor Shower" actually adds one fact about the Quadrantids that is omitted from the Suite 101 article and my other promotional articles!
Let me also link to my Xanga blog's promotional article "Will You Watch the Quadrantid Meteor Shower?", although it does not add anything to what you found here.
(Updated 2012-01-17) As I explain in "Preview of Non-Commutative Conditional Probability", I will also include a link to one article that I used for reference:
PhysOrg. "Quadrantid meteors set to perform on January 4th".
Writing Tips
Within the Suite 101 article, the most relevant image, shown above, has a completely black thumbnail preview. It's terrible as an advertisement.
So I chose to feature a great picture of the moon in Suite 101. The moon actually is important to the article, and makes a great leading image. It may not be the best for the content of the article, but that could not be helped. The thumbnail of the moon is infinitely more appealing that a black thumbnail.
Writing Tip:
Choose leading images that will bring readers to your articles.
